In dastardly dirigibles, you will build your steampunk airship from different parts of 9 beautiful suits. Each airship is made of 7 cards, each representing a different part of the airship, such as the nose cone or lift engine. Whenever you add a part to your airship, all players must add the same part, even if it means replacing an existing part.

Use special cards to your advantage or to thwart your opponents. The round ends when the first airship is complete. But you score only the suit used most in your airship. The player with the highest score after 3 rounds wins.

Dastardly Dirigibles features tarot-sized cards that are played in a constant action format in which each time a part is added, ALL players MUST add the SAME part – which may replace an existing one. Build your airship from different parts of nine beautiful suits, while also using special cards to your advantage or to thwart your opponents. The round ends when the first airship is complete — but you score only the suit used most in your airship. The player with the highest score after three rounds wins!

A simple, quick take-that sort of game. Big luck of the draw between desired pieces, desired types, and actions of variable value.
You want to ensure that you can piggy-back off of other players’ actions, and that you won’t be forced to replace your good dirigible pieces with bad.

“Action” cards are needlessly complex and scale poorly on player count due to differing turn count–inhibiting piggybacking to the point of being largely undesirable at higher counts.

funny game. there is a serious dose of luck but not so much as to broke the game. It’s a bit annoying waiting for your turn to come with 5 players. Very good for beginners in the hobby. generally worth the money.
